Sample From Death Of A Door Nail

Scene: All of the guest have arrived at the Estate of Albert Dornale. Albert is no where to be found yet blood has been found.

BUKOWSKI: Hello, Hello, hello? If I could have everyone's attention!

(they all stop and look-react-gasp -whatever )

PRISELLA: Who are you?

BUKOWSKI: I am Inspector Bukowksi from the yard! (flashes badge)

EDWARD: Scotland Yard?

BUKOWSKI: No, the front yard. I was outside just now and heard a scream.

MRS. MORGANFORD: What were you doing outside in the yard?

BUKOWSKI: Well, I was passing by and thought I spotted a jart-set up on your grounds. Jarts are against the law you know! Anyway, much to my dismay, I found it merely to be small crop circles. I then proceeded back to my vehicle, where upon I heard a scream. And if I'm not mistaken it was you ma'am! (indicates Abigail)

ABIGAIL: Me? How did you know.

BUKOWSKI: Simple deduction ma'am. Your breath rate indicates you've had a prolonged exhale recently. Such as a scream. Plus, I believe that too be blood on your fingers.

Abigail looks at her fingers and gasps.

BUKOWSKI: It's elementary that anyone with blood on their fingers has probably screamed within the past few minutes. Either that, or...(dramatic hold) committed a murder!

ABIGAIL: Murder?! Why I never!

MORTIMER: May I just say sir, that Mrs. Doornale discovered the body and the blood, we are not certain she is the cause.

BUKOWSKI: So there has been a murder! I could tell.

MRS. MORGANFORD: How could you tell?

EDWARD: Deductive reasoning is quite a strong aptitude in the investigative field Mrs.Morganford. But do tell us Inspector Bukowski, I am very curious as to your premise and conclusion of murder.

BUKOWSKI: It's simple, look around you. This is a large English style estate. It's a dark rainy evening. There's a driveway full of various vehicles, out of town plates, obviously a gathering of odd characters of some sort or the other. Then of course, the piercing scream from the distance. And most of all, I find people conveniently gathered  in the drawing room! It's perfect. Back to "Death Of A Doornail
